'Through a glass'

Interiors and light meet the outside world in abstracted reflection.

These paintings are moments observed, without entering.
Holding the space privately for oneself. I work from photographs taken on walks through the city, capturing the quiet corners, and reflections in windows.

In particular the way that light, both natural and artificial, interferes with a space like it is an object itself.
I'm drawn to flattened forms, subtle colours, and compositions that hint at familiar memories, but held as a personal, intimate moment."
